No. A Data Matrix code is a plain image of your data, so the PNG, SVG or PDF you download keeps working forever. Nothing in it points back to this site, and nothing can be switched off later.
Yes. You can print the codes and labels you make on parts, products, packaging and documents you sell, with no fee and no credit needed. Free files have no watermark. You do need the right to use the data you encode, such as a GTIN licensed to your company. See our terms.
Because it runs in your browser, so it costs us almost nothing. The limits are there so a phone or laptop does not run out of memory, not to make you upgrade. For a bigger job, split the file into parts.
No. The free tools work without an account, and your saved codes stay in your browser. Pro will use an account once it launches, because syncing across devices and sharing with a team need one.

Nothing, unless you choose to move them. They stay in your browser and keep working on the free plan. We will not delete or move anything in your browser without asking.
No. We make codes from the data you already have. GTINs come from GS1, and serial numbers from your own system. We are not affiliated with GS1. GS1 DataMatrix explained covers where GTINs come from.
Not yet. Nothing on this site can be bought today, so there is nothing to bill or refund. Billing and refund terms will be published before Pro or higher API limits open. Questions about Pro are welcome in the meantime.
